Richard Frisbie Joins T-Boy's Growing List of High Caliber Travel Writers

Permission of use: Traveling Boy Cartoon
to be used only with this Press Release
Are you reading this? The question is posed because all too often press releases about some important promotion, or adding a new member of an organization, tend – sad but true – to generate yawns in many of the audience meant to get this information. As the director of PR for the Traveling Boy (T-boy for short) website (www.travelingboy.com) John Clayton, comments. “I hope you are reading these words, because when I tell you the newest addition to our website of a talented travel journalist is a renowned baker in New York State, you might wonder if Richard Frisbie – the man in question – is indeed a great choice to join T-boy. But please," says John with a smile on his face, "Please, read on.”

Richard Frisbie epitomizes the word Multi-Talented, as witnessed by the fact that he is a newspaper columnist, freelance journalist, bookstore owner, historic preservationist and, now get this, a professional baker!! Anyone who has tasted his delicious works of art in baking will testify to his “beautiful baking,” as one of his customers recently noted.

But of all his many creative talents Richard is doubly proud of his work as a travel writer and, as you’ll see by clicking the link noted at the end of this press release, his words always paint a vivid, colorful, intriguing picture of what he is sharing with you, as he relates his exciting travel adventures. As John Clayton can attest, “they for sure, make you want to visit there yourself. Immediately."

The key facts are these: For 7 years he wrote for the Saugerties Times and Post Star with his lively column “Main Street Views.” Not content with just doing print work, he added his own unique way with words to hosting a local radio show, and his intense interest in travel, books, and the art of writing, induced him to open a large Used Book store with the intriguing name of The Hope Farm Press.

It was while crafting some travel articles, that Richard found another creative niche for his love of words, and that was in doing stories about food and wine. During his extensive writing career, Richard’s stories have been published on travel websites GoNomad, Edge Publications and Globalfoodie.com. When asked how he felt about joining T-boy he said, “I’m truly delighted to be working alongside so many prestigious travel journalists, and I look forward to giving T-boy's audience a wide ranging series of articles about food, wine and yes, of course the amazing world of travel.”

Ed Boitano, the CEO and president and co-founder of T-boy, when asked his opinion about the addition of Frisbie to T-boy said, "Having a writer the caliber of Richard Frisbie as a regular contributor is like a dream-come-true. I've admired his work from afar for many a year, and now to have him among our staff of writers at T-boy is truly mind boggling. I mean, what did we do to deserve this guy? Mr. Frisbie's moniker at T-boy is "The 'Inquisitive Traveler,' and that says volumes about his approach to travel. He is always searching and exploring, which brings a truly unique perspective to T-boy. To see what we mean, please view some of his inquisitive past blogs.”

The concept of Traveling Boy is best expressed in its Mission Statement that notes "our approach to travel is a personal and very subjective way of writing about destinations and travel themes. To do this," says Boitano, "we have dozens of talented journalists and photographers who give their own unique perspective on things, people and places around the world."
