Life Then and Now

   I'm so energized! I Just discovered an old album of one of my favorite performers – James Taylor. How that album managed to hide from me all these years is a mystery in itself. Amazing how this "long lost friend" carried along with him a bunch of pictures from the scrapbooks of my mind.

    I remember cruising down the road of a little known shortcut that my Dad had discovered heading home from school. All of us sublings were packed inside that blue Chevy station wagon. My Dad was at the driver seat and my Mom was snuggled beside him. We kids had a favorite spot on that road that had a sudden dip and we would always coax our Dad to pick up speed so our hearts would float in the air. Life was so much simpler then.

   Hmmm ... how come we always say "life was simpler then?" Is life always complex now? Will today look simpler in the future?

   There's a lesson somewhere. I guess we should be happy today because we're living a simpler life ... at least according to our future.

   Don't know about you but I'm gonna choose to enjoy this present life because It's actually – "the moment we've all been waiting for."

   Hey, be sure to greet your Mom this Sunday. To my Mom, I know she knows I love her. Peace!
