Forgetful

New York

I'm in New York. My son graduated from Columbia. There are many reasons to visit the big apple. Here are some:

• Watched Matilda -- excellent!
• Watched Jersey Boys --- memorable!
• Took the subway --- a $31 for a 7 day pass is the way to go
• The city's a little dirty but that's expected if you haven't slept for decades
• Advertising everywhere - in the the trains, on the walls, billboards ... It's a marketing overload.
• The water - refreshingly deliciously clean. Who needs bottled water?
• Food glorious food - authentic and varied
• Traffic - still slow and noisy but now Times Square has pedicabs --- $3 a minute!
• Broadway is alive, plentiful and raking in tourist money
• The World Trade Center - majestic, and surrounded by tearful memories in a pool of water cascading down 2 square holes where the twin towers used to stand.
• But the best reason to go there is because my son lives here. TGIF!

  I forgot where I was going with this.
• I love being over 50. I learn something new every day....
  and forget 5 others.
• A thief broke into my house last night. He started searching for money,
  
  
  
  ... so I woke up and searched with him.
• I think I'll just put an "Out of Order" sticker on my forehead and call it a day.
